For mountain biking that is. Perfect for trying out stop motion.

Very cool! Does the chin bar clip in around the back of the helmet? Seems like a cool design, I have only seen the ones where the chin bar snaps in from the front.

Has a clasp on the back and one on each side. If you look closely, y ou can see the lever sticking out in the last frame.

Which Bell
model?

That looks amazing. I have Bell motorcycle helmet that I love, they’ve been doing some really neat things with helmets lately.

Super 3R

Good choice. I’m shocked at the amount of people that will bomb thru the woods with anything less than a full face helmet. There’s too much stuff to hit & mess up your face.
Plus, getting whacked on either the side or back of the head can’t be good with the lesser-coverage models.

Thanks! I was looking for something with the latest safety goodies and the removable chin bar sealed the deal. Also matches my bike so there’s that...

The super is a great helmet. I just got a Troy Lee A2 and the ventilation is MUCH BETTER than the Bell. I am a sweaty person tho so ventilation is top of my list.

Agreed. On my latest excursion, I realized the speeds I was reaching combined with difficulty of trail warranted better safety gear.

I’d
recommend always using the fullface attachment to avoid looking like a big nerd.

Yep. Don’t forget good knee pads either.

It
looks like a
good choice
. Unfortunately no Hi-Vis colors.

They had a bright yellow I almost went for, but it went out of stock.

Noice. I really like the Sixxer i got last year after my last helmet had a run in with an overpass. My only complaint is that the padding drains sweat right down the middle of my forehead.
Although I really like how B ell did their integrated GoPro/light mount.

My last helmet was pretty shot. Hopefully this one doesn’t see too much dirt!
Apparently the GoPro mount is designed to break away too. I usually wear a chest mount so it’ll be interesting to see how the helmet view looks in comparison.

I have so many friends who will scoff that I ride an Enduro bike on the streets, (really that I’ll ride a motorcycle at all) and yet they rip mountain bikes with street helmets and no armour at all. All the injuries they’ve sustained over the past 3-4 years combined I’ve avoided in much worse off-road spills simply by wearing a full face helmet, with upper and lower armour.

There’s some weird stigmas around helmets in general whether it’s motorcycles or bicycles . Just look at motorcycle riders that go sans helmet.
I try and gear appropriately for the riding I plan on doing which has gotten increasingly risky over the past several months.

I need one of them. something with MIPS

oh, I see the yellow if I look on the Bell site. Whatever retailer I was looking at didn’t have it. I’ll look more. Looks like they’re discontinued.

Yeah I really wanted something with MIPS. Luckily found this one with a bit of a discount.

Do they have more?

Looks like the Amazon inventory got cleared out a bit. They don’t even show my helmet on there anymore.
